Patna: The video of the pro-Pakistan procession, which was allegedly taken out in the city on July 15, would now be sent to Central Forensic Science Laboratory (CFSL) in Hyderabad for analysis. The forensic laboratory in Patna has failed to establish the authenticity of the video. Patna SSP Manu Maharaaj, who received the FSL Patna report on Thursday, said the video would be sent to CFSL Hyderabad for further investigation soon.
“The FSL experts have failed to establish the authenticity of the video, saying that the audio of the clipping was not clear,” the SSP said. He added that the police would now have to wait for the report from CFSL which would clear the clouds over authenticity of the video in which Mohd Tausif Ahmed was shown raising “Pakistan zindabad” slogans.
Asked if the police were probing the suspected hawala money transaction into the bank account of Tausif, the SSP did not give a clear reply.
Meanwhile, IG (Darbhanga zone) Umashankar Sudhanshu also refused to comment on suspected hawala transactions into Tausif’s bank account. “I am unaware of it,” he said. It was Motihari SP Akhtar Hussain who had made a preliminary report on Tausif’s background in which he had said nothing adverse was found by the local police.
Patna town DSP Kailash Prasad said along with Tausif, at least six more persons had reached Patna two days prior to the procession. “These suspects are natives of Motihari, Bettiah and other north Bihar districts. Tausif hails from Madhubani,” the DSP said.
