Tyler Technologies Signs $5.9 Million Contract For Appraisal Solution

Tyler Technologies, Inc. (NYSE: TYL) struck an agreement with The City of Calgary in Alberta, Canada for its iasWorld CAMA computer-assisted mass appraisal software, as well as iasWorld Inquiry & Appeals tracking solution. According to the company, the $5.9 million contract included software licenses, maintenance, support and implementation.

The company stated that Calgary would gain from its evergreen perpetual licensing approach offering regular and significant, yet manageable, software enhancements without any additional relicensing fee. As a result, it would ensure all systems have the latest technology.

Tyler said Calgary has about 510,000 accounts and 1.2 million residents. The company added that its iasWorld software was selected because of a proven solution helping jurisdictions improve assessment quality, reduce operational and overhead costs. It would also improve data flow between agencies and enhance employee productivity.

The company indicated its iasWorld has been implemented in 25 states in the United States like Nova Scotia, Newfoundland and the Commonwealth of the Bahamas.

Its SVP of software operations, Mark Hawkins, said, "Calgary has entrusted Tyler in a very critical area, given that about half of The City's total annual operating budget is funded by tax revenue from business and property taxes. It's a responsibility Tyler takes seriously, and we will work hard to meet expectations of The City, its property owners and everyone who calls Calgary home."
