Robin van Persie is set to stay at Fenerbahce, an official at the club has revealed.

The Dutch international striker has reportedly been the subject of interest from AC Milan and Stoke City, but has opted to stay in Turkey for another season.

"Van Persie confirmed that he will continue his football in Fenerbahce, after his agents meeting with club officials,” club official Ilhan Eksioglu tweeted.

The striker impressed in his debut season at Fenerbahce, scoring 16 goals in 31 appearances after ending an 11-year stay in the Premier League with Arsenal and Manchester United.
