Ramkumar's father Paramasivan, a coolie, said the injuries on the neck of his son were inflicted by police personnel who nabbed him.
Ramkumar was now lodged in the Puzhal prison. He was housed in the hospital block in Prison-II and prison doctors were taking care of him as per court orders. Doctors had removed his sutures recently after the wounds healed.
