Rape case against 60-year-old in Khammam

A 60-year-old man allegedly raped a 15-year-old girl at Uppalachelaka village in Penuballi mandal on Tuesday night.

According to sources, Ch. Venkateshwarlu, a labourer, allegedly barged into the house of the minor girl while her parents were away around 7 p.m. on Tuesday. He allegedly raped the girl by taking advantage of her helplessness, sources added.

Her parents came to know about the ghastly incident on Tuesday night after returning home from agricultural fields.

They filed a complaint against Venkateshwarlu with the V M Banjara police on Wednesday morning. The police booked a case against the old man and were investigating.
