P. Ravichandran (61), a Tirupur-based doctor, has been selected for the ‘Best Doctor’ award by Indian Medical Association (Tamil Nadu chapter) for his contributions in community service. Sources here said that Dr. Ravichandran had been performing free cleft lip and palate surgeries as well as surgery for correcting burns and contractures both in his hospital and in government hospitals.
Dr. Ravichandran is presently national executive member of Indian Society for Surgery of Hands and a former president of Indian Medical Association (Tirupur chapter).
