Kapu, Balija JAC leaders meet Chinta

In a bid to evince support from all sections of society, including political leaders irrespective of their party affiliations, to their struggle of achieving Kapu reservation, a 20-member team of Kapu Balija Political and Legal JAC leaders, hailing from the 13 districts of the State, met former MP and senior Congress leader Chinta Mohan here on Wednesday.

The team led by Akula Ramakrishna spoke on the recent incidents with emphasis on the police action during the indefinite fast by Kapu leader Mudragada Padmanabham, seeking justice to people hailing from Kapu, Balija community across the State.

They said that a raw deal had been meted out to their community for the past several years.

The leaders also discussed the prevailing issues such as problems faced by women, workers, farmers, unemployed and poorer sections of the society, besides the existing political scenario.

Mr. Mohan has expressed support on behalf of the Congress to the stir, after the conclusion of the hour-long meet.
