Panipat, July 20

The district unit of the Indian National Student Organisation (INSO) today locked the gate of the principal’s office of IB College against problems being faced by students during admissions.

They raised slogans against the principal and later opened the gate after being pacified by Suresh Saini, City SHO.

Earlier, a group of students, led by Balraj Deshwal, district president of INSO, reached IB College and locked principal’s office gate.

Deepak Kadyan and Pawan Dahar, members of INSO, alleged that students were facing several problems. There were no security arrangements of the students and outsiders had been disturbing the college atmosphere.

“The principal is denying admission to poor students while admissions are open for students having political influence,” they alleged.

Deshwal alleged principal Madhu Sharma along with the head of a department had issued two lists for admission. The third list was made by the local MLA and admissions were given accordingly.

“Our party will protest daily in the college till the principal is terminated from the post,” Deshwal said.
