WGN America released a full-length trailer for season 3 of “Salem” on Wednesday, ahead of its panel at Comic-Con 2016 Friday.
The third installment of the supernatural thriller dawns with the triumph of the witches’ plan to remake the New World by bringing the devil to earth and making Salem his capital.
“History will say the devil was born in Salem,” a voice says. “Their God is dead or lost in senile slumber. But not ours. Our God, their devil is alive. And now he’s here.”
But, instead of a New World free from murderous Puritan hypocrisy, the devil’s plan will bring nothing but death and slavery with the ultimate aim of leading humanity to destroy itself.
Things become even more complicated for Mary (Janet Montgomery), the witch who gave birth to him.
“I have seen the future that we have built,” Tituba (Ashley Madekwe) tells Mary. “You must kill your son.”
Created and written by Brannon Braga and Adam Simon, season three will star Montgomery, Madekwe, Shane West, Tamzin Merchant, Elise Eberle, Iddo Goldberg, Joe Doyle and Oliver Bell. Marilyn Manson will guest star.
