LCD Soundsystem, Daft Punk, Outkast Get Lullaby Treatment
For the past decade, children’s music label Rockabye Baby! has been transforming the music of artists like the Beatles, Nirvana, Prince, Radiohead and even Nine Inch Nails into an ambient naptime soundtrack. To mark their 10th anniversary, the label will throw a Birthday Party, a 15-track compilation featuring lullaby versions of celebratory songs by LCD Soundsystem, OutKast, Miley Cyrus and David Bowie. Check out the album’s not-exactly-dancefloor rendition of Daft Punk‘s “Get Lucky” below.
Birthday Party also features easy listening versions of Chic’s “Good Times,” Deee-lite’s “Groove Is in the Heart,” Marvin Gaye’s “Got to Give It Up” and Pitbull’s “Don’t Stop the Party.” LCD Soundsystem’s anthem “All My Friends” closes out the “party.”
Rockabye Baby’s Birthday Party is due out October 14th.
