Inaugurating a petrol filling station here, the DGP said after bifurcation of the state, local status stood as a hurdle for the filling up vacant posts. However, the local status obstacle would be overcome and recruitments would be taken up. He made it clear that the five kilometer marathon for the recruitment of constables would not be implemented this time. The police department had inducted latest technology and using it to deal with the problem of short of manpower.
