After recording alive people as dead and stopping their pension in Rajsamand district, social justice department has asked collectors of all districts to check the list once again. Directions were first issued on July 1 and again on July 4.
According to officials, collectors have been asked to focus mainly on the names that have been deleted because they are dead, duplicate entries or omitted because of unknown reasons.
There are about 6 lakh entries which fall in these three categories. Earlier, 10 people from Chak Hikaari village in Rajsamand district stopped receiving their social justice pensions as state government records show them as dead.
