Vineeth is all praise for Manju Warrier
Ace actor and dancer Vineeth is in awe of Manju Warrier, who recently staged the Sanskrit production 'Abhijnana Shakuntalam'.
He wholeheartedly praises Manju Warrier for her recent theatre debut. Vineeth, who was among the audience when Kavalam Narayana Panicker's Sanskrit production debuted, says, “Hats off to Manju’s performance as Shankuntala. She is a versatile actor and though she had tight schedules of her film projects, she found time to practice.
The performance shows that she had a disciplined preparation with her co-stars and this makes her a committed actor and an inspiring human being. Her graceful movements along with other artistes made us understand the play though we are not familiar with the Sanskrit words. Covering every aspect of natya bhasha, Manju gave life to Shakuntala in the most beautiful way one can think of.”
Vineeth also lauds the stage settings that made the play visually rich. “The performance was elegant and simple in style and it reminded me of the international Broadway performances in which dialogues and dance go hand-in-hand. Though this style is mentioned in Natya Shashtra, it is seldom followed. But under the guidance of Kavalam sir, the team has showcased it brilliantly for the understanding of common. This is one of the best plays I have watched in my life,” he says.
