Timken rejuvenates partners in Annual Automotive Distributor Meet

Timken recently conducted its Annual Automotive Distributor Meet at Mahabalipuram, Chennai, which saw enthusiastic participation of the company’s automotive distributors from across the country and served as an open forum to share ideas and discuss issues. At Timken, distributors are considered the most important asset as they are the customer-facing partners who are in sync with the market needs, ensuring that Timken products and services deliver the needs of the changing market with timely inputs and support.

At the meet, the Timken Automotive Aftermarket Distribution team interacted with its partners and shared details on global strategies, upcoming campaigns and activities in India. With today’s technology improving the connectivity and face-time value with the end-user, the new-age Timken distributor is qualified, dynamic, well-informed and well-equipped with modern gadgets to handle market requirements.

While the meet gave the distributors an opportunity to interact with Timken’s senior management team, it also showcased Timken’s strengths in the form of increased product range and services. The VRIDDHI 2016 emphasis was on the growth and journey from being a taper roller bearing company to becoming a complete solution provider offering bearings, lubricants, seals and services.

The main session of the meet highlighted the company’s achievements, investments and performance during last year and its long-term vision and market strategies for the short term. This was followed by entertainment and awards presentation where the partners were honored on the basis of their performance during last year. The following day, the partners were hosted at Timken’s Chennai facility for a plant tour to help refresh them on the operational aspects of bearing manufacturing.
