Visakhapatnam: The small town Gajuwaka, 15 km away from Vizag city, has emerged as the industrial growth engine of the state by topping the list of all the industrial areas across Andhra Pradesh. The industrial sector’s mandal-wise gross domestic product of Gajuwaka stood at Rs 80,6229 lakhs, which is highest among all the others across the state.
The mandal-wise GDP which was prepared for the first time by the state government tells the story of Gajuwaka, which is often referred as ‘factory town’ or ‘industrial town’. Special panels were formed to decide on applications.
