DEHRADUN: The Sanjhi Chat Vikas Samiti, a social welfare organisation, held a function to distribute shoes and other items to poor students of Primary School, Chakrata Road, here on Tuesday.

Dehradun, July 19

The Sanjhi Chat Vikas Samiti, a social welfare organisation, held a function to distribute shoes and other items to poor students of Primary School, Chakrata Road, here on Tuesday.

Congress leader Asha Manorma Dobriyal, who was the chief guest on the occasion, praised the efforts of the organisation and assured it of all possible support for the cause.

She said, “Children are the future of the nation and it is important to look after them at a young age. It is the responsibility of financially blessed families to support these children in whatever possible way so that they can’t remain aside in the race of life.” Harjeet Singh, Abdul Wazid, Sushila Virmani and Prabhat Dandriyal were present.
