Sukhpreet Kaur (18) of Bholuwala village in the district allegedly committed suicide by hanging herself from a ceiling fan here today. According to sources, her father had also died under mysterious circumstances 10 years ago. Since then, the family was facing financial problems.
Sukhpreet, after completing Class XII from a school in the village, was doing tailoring work at home to help her mother.
The body was handed over to the family after the postmortem at Guru Gobind Singh Medical College and Hospital. — TNS
