Dubai: Food and beverage operator SFC Group is to invest Dh60 million over a four-year period to expand the quick service restaurants (QSRs) within its UAE portfolio.

This year will see four new SFC Plus locations being added.

In all, there will be 25 new locations in the network, to add to the 26 it currently has in the UAE. (The first opened in 1993 in Abu Dhabi.)

“The QSR segment represents a terrific opportunity for us with an emergent young population and growing disposable incomes, resulting in higher propensity among consumers to socialise and eat out,” said K. Muraleedharan, chairman and managing director.

SFC Plus is an established and popular brand in the UAE.

“The investment into new restaurants will help us provide better accessibility to local communities.”

Meanwhile, the group is also pushing further overseas. It will add five restaurants over the next 12 months in India, which will add to the four already in place.

SFC has also unveiled a new mascot, Captain Cluck, and a music video for a deeper connect with its committed clientele.
