Rajendra Prasad was born to Gadde Venkata Narayana and Manikyambba from Krishna District, Andhra Pradesh. He completed his graduation with a diploma in Ceramic Engineering. He won Nandi awards for Best actor in 1991 and 2004 for Erra Mandaramu and Aa Naluguru respectively. Again in 2004, he received Film Fare award for best supporting actor for Aa Naluguru.

Rajendra Prasad has acted in more than 200 movies, from which some of them are yet the most watched ones. Ladies Tailor, Pelli Pusthakam, Mr.Pellam, Rajendrudu Gajendrudu, Aha Na Pellanta, Aa Okkati Adakku, April 1 Vidudhala, Appula Apparao, All Rounder etc. are some of the unforgettable movies of Rajendra Prasad.
