Vellore: AIADMK chief Jayalalithaa on Monday expelled G G Ravi, 53, of Saidapet in Vellore, from the party in the wake of his arrest for assaulting and attempting to murder a police inspector when the latter tried to stop sand smuggling.
Jayalalithaa, in a press statement issued on Monday, said that G G Ravi has been removed from the party primary membership for acting against the principles of the party.
