Asghar Khan suggests appointment of COAS on seniority basis

ATTOCK - Central Leader of Tehrik Istiqlal Air Marshal (retd) Asghar Khan has said that a strategy should be formulated to make appointment of the Chief of Army Staff on seniority basis.

He said this during his meeting with Central President Tehrik Istiqlal Rehmat Khan Wardag. Asghar Khan said when the army chief would be appointed on seniority then it would help improve professionalism of Pak Army. He said in the prevailing situation Pakistan must have at least twenty provinces. He said amendment in the constitution should be made to send corrupt people to gallows.

He said the judicial system also needs changes which include increasing the strength of judges. He said that for speedy justice civil cases should be decided in six months while criminal cases in one year time. He said that bureaucracy must be held accountable before the people of this country.
