Ex-Wall Street hot shot: Hamptons rager was ‘good, clean fun’

Yes, there were dwarves and copious amounts of alcohol at hedgie Brett Barna’s infamous Hamptons bash, but the fired portfolio manager claims the party was “good, clean fun.”

“I regret certain aspects of the party, but really this was supposed to be about charity,” Barna said in a CNBC interview on Monday. He claimed that the 500-person event raised $100,000 for Last Chance Animal Rescue.

Barna made headlines earlier this month after throwing a bash dubbed #sprayathon over July Fourth weekend. Party revelers were said to have “trashed” a $20 million Bridgehampton estate.

Barna was quickly fired from Moore Capital Management, where he had worked for seven years, as details of the party emerged.

As for the alleged damage to the 14-bedroom estate, Barna claims that he wasn’t even allowed to enter the house.

The owner, Omar Amanat, who Page Six reported was arrested last week for “conspiracy to defraud investors in a tech startup, ” demanded cash for the Airbnb rental, Barna said.
