The District Sports Authority is conducting district-level selections for admission into fourth standard of the Dr. YSR Sports School at Kadapa, at the Police stadium here on July 21. The boys and girls selected here will be sent to Kadapa for State-level selections.
Boys and girls born between February 28, 2008 and March 1, 2009 are eligible to appear for the selections, District Sports Development Officer June Gallyot Rodrigues has informed. The selections will be made in the archery, athletics, boxing, hockey, football, gymnastics, swimming, taekwondo and weightlifting.
Date of birth certificate issued by a Gram Panchayat/Tahsildar/municipality or municipal corporation; and study certificate issued by the Head Master of the school where the child is studying at present; 20 latest passport size photographs and copies of the progress report of the classes the child has studied previously have to be produced at the trials, which will be held from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
