The Prime Minister's Office (PMO) held a Doa Kesyukuran ceremony in conjunction with His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa'adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang DiPertuan of Brunei Darussalam's 70th birthday.

 

The event was held at Ash-Shaliheen Mosque, Prime Ministers' Office (PMO) Building Complex.

 

Attending the ceremony were Yang Amat Mulia Pengiran Lela Cheteria Sahibun Najabah Pengiran Anak Haji Abdul Aziz bin Pengiran Jaya Negara Pengiran Haji Abu Bakar, Chief of Adat Istiadat Negara;Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Seri Maharaja Dato Paduka Seri Setia Dr. Ustaz Haji Awang Abdul Aziz bin Juned, State Mufti and Dato Paduka Awang Haji Mohamad Roselan bin Haji Mohamad Daud, Deputy Minister at the Prime Minister's Office (PMO).

 

Also present were permanent secretaries; deputy permanent secretaries; heads of departments; senior officers and personnel at the Prime Minister's Office (PMO) and its departments.

 

The ceremony began with Sunnat Hajat prayer led by the Imam of Ash-Shaliheen Mosque, Awang Haji Mohd Aslenan bin Haji Metusin, followed by the recitations of Surah Yaasiin, Tahlil and the Doa Kesyukuran. The ceremony then continued with a mass Asar prayer.

 

The ceremony was held as an expression of gratitude to the leadership of His Majesty and signify the people's prayers for His Majesty to be in good health, longevity and continue to reign the country with Iman (faith) and guided by Allah the Almighty.
