Guru Purnima celebration today

Ramakrishna-Vivekananda Ashram will conduct special religious and spiritual programmes in connection with Guru Purnima celebrations at the Lingaraj Nagar community hall here on Tuesday. A release by ashram president Swami Raghuveerananda said that the programmes would begin with the recitation of Omkara, Vedic hymns and Gurustuthi at 9 a.m. and it would be followed by Ashtottara Archane at 9.30 a.m., and recitation of Vishnu Sahasranama and Havan at 10 a.m. Gartikere Raghanna would present folk songs at 11.15 a.m. Mahamangalarathi would be held at 12. 30 p.m. and it would be followed by the distribution of prasadam.

Bhagavannama Sankeertan would be held at 6 p.m., Gana Pravachana by Chandrashekhar Kedilaya would be held at 6.30 p.m. and Mangalarati and feast at 8.30 p.m. The programme is open for all. For details, contact 0836-2377345.
