flood-reliefLAHORE: The government has earmarked Rs 50 million for flood relief activities and departments concerned have been directed to make arrangements for the provision of food and vaccinations.

These views were expressed by Director General Provincial Disaster Management Authority, Mujahid Sherdil,while addressing a review meeting for making arrangements for potential floods.

Mujahid Sherdil said that all relevant departments had been alerted to combat any flood situation whereas the process of storing necessary food items in various districts was started. He said, on the directive of the chief minister, more boats, tents and blankets were being stocked for any emergency situation.
