MUMBAI: After CM Devendra Fadnavis,
senior ministers Chandrakant Patil, Sudhir Mungantiwar and Girish Bapat have come out to
defend woman and child welfare development minister
Pankaja Munde at a press conference in Mantralaya on Monday.
Munde ridiculed media reports and said no wrong was done in the Take Home Ration tenders worth Rs 790 crore. She said how can there be a scam when contracts have not been allotted nor have work orders been issued yet.
Munde, who faced the media along with the senior ministers, said “The scheme was introduced in 2009 by the government of India with the extrusion technology but the previous government floated tenders in 2013 based on a primitive roaster technology. This government reintroduced the extrusion technology that eliminates human touch as mandated by the SC in 2011,” said Munde.
