Senior Congress leader and Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) Gulzar Ahmad Wani Monday asked state government to provide free and specialized treatment to pellet gun victims.Expressing heartfelt sympathies with the families of slain youth, Wani demanded a through probe into civilian killings and stern punishments to involved security personals. He also demanded ex gratia and government jobs to the kiths and kins of the families’ slain youth.Slamming government for allowing forces to use pellet gun indiscriminately, MLA Shangus asked Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti to provide free and specialized treatment to pellet gun victims at AIIMS New Delhi and other top level hospitals besides making necessary medicines available at every state run hospital. He also appealed her to stop forces from using excessive force in civilians and refrain from victimizing dissent voices. He urged her to lift ban on telecommunication media including newspaper as ban on media offices encourages rumor mongering which ultimately will hinder the process of bringing normalcy to troubled Kashmir.Gulzar Ahmad Wani also appealed people maintain communal harmony, brotherhood and peace in largest interests of society.
