Pilgrim from Delhi dies, toll 16, including CRPF jawan, local driver

Srinagar, Jul 18 (UNI) A yatri from Delhi died due to cardiac arrest at Baltal base camp, taking the toll to 16, including a Central Reserve Police (CRPF) jawan and a local driver since the commencement of the 48-day-long pilgrimage from July 2.
A yatra official told UNI today that a pilgrim identified as 42-year-old Mithin Lal , Son of Jangly Ram, resident of Delhi suffered a massive cardiac arrest at Baltal base camp. However, he was immediately rushed to nearby hospital where he was declared brought dead.
With this a total of 14 pilgrims, 13 of them due to cardiac arrest and one in a road accident have died. A CRPF jawan on security duty also died due to heart attack while a local driver Bilal Ahmad died in a road accident while carrying pilgrims from Srinagar to Jammu.

Hyderabad, April 24 (UNI) The Election Commission of India (ECI) has issued a communication stipulating that every individual employed in any business, trade, industrial undertaking, or establishment, eligible to vote in elections to the House of the People or the Legislative Assembly of a State, shall be granted a paid holiday under Section 135 B of the Representation of People Act.
