The city police detained K. Senthil (35), a history-sheeter of Kitchipalayam, under the Goondas Act.
On June 7, he was involved in robbing at knifepoint at Sanyasi Gundu area in the city.
Kitchipalayam police registered a case and arrested him.
Inquiries revealed that he was involved in the murder of another history-sheeter in March.
Since he was found to be involved in crime activities, based on recommendations, City Police Commissioner ordered his detention under the Act.
‘Follow feed management’
Poultry farmers in the district were asked to follow usual feed management for the monsoon season.
A press release from Agromet Field Unit of Veterinary College and Research Institute and Regional Meteorological Centre, Chennai said that the sky will be cloudy with chance of fairly widespread rainfall.
Maximum and minimum temperature will be 35 degree Celsius (95 degree Fahrenheit) and 24 degree Celsius (75.2 degree Fahrenheit) respectively, it said.
The release added that the birds’ performance and egg production will be normal and famers were asked to follow feed management.
