Vimal Gupta appointed as new DIG
Panaji: The state government has promoted superintendent of police (SP) Vimal Gupta to deputy inspector general of police (DIG) with immediate effect. The order was issued by under secretary personnel Surendra Naik.
Panaji: The state government has promoted superintendent of police (SP) Vimal Gupta to deputy inspector general of police (DIG) with immediate effect. The order was issued by under secretary personnel Surendra Naik.
Gupta joined Goa police in October 2015. As DIG, Gupta will look after both crime and range. The post was vacant after DIG V Renganathen was promoted as inspector general of police and transferred to Delhi.
Gupta is a 1986 batch officer of the union territory cadre. Later in 2003, he moved to the Arunachal Pradesh-Goa-Mizoram and Union Territory (AGMUT) cadre.
