Heavy rains in Rajasthan, flood-like situation continues in Karauli

Chief Minister Vasundhra Raje, who is on a foreign tour, has directed officials to provide relief in flood hit areas.

Heavy to very heavy rains lashed several areas in Jaipur, Kota and Bharatpur divisions of Rajasthan as flood like situation continued in Karauli district in Bharatpur division.

Lalsot in dausa recorded 19 cm rain followed by Madhopur where 17 cm till this morning since Saturday, according to the MeT Department here.

Many other places received below 14 cm of rainfall.

Light to moderate rainfall occurred at some places including Pilani which recorded 36.4 mm rain till evening.

Flood-like situation continued in Karauli where residential areas have been inundated, forcing the administration to evacuate them to safer places.
