She is the voice of Urvashi Rautela in 'Great Grand Masti, for the sensual number 'I Wanna Tera Ishq', composed by Sanjeev-Darshan. Meet 21-year-old Shivranjani Singh aka Shivi, the latest singing sensation on the block.
The new addition to todays talented crop of playback singers, the girl already has a few popular numbers to her credit. 'Oh Boy' from 'Kya Kool Hai Hum 3', 'Lalla Lalla Lori' from 'Welcome to Karachi' and 'Love to Hate You' from 'Hate Story 3' to name a few.
The youngster considered singing as a career after she won a music reality show at the age of 13.
Her first big break came when music director Rochak Kohli offered her two songs in 'Welcome to Karachi'. Renowned music directors Sajid-Wajid noticed her and were impressed by her originality and determination. She toured across the world with them including USA, Canada, Dubai and so on. Shivi has many more dance and romantic tracks coming up next.
Other than playback, Shivranjani has also recorded songs 'Feed My Soul' and 'Once Upon a Time', with Florida based producer MorrisCode. Primarily a western vocalist, her independent music, which is doing well in the EDM circuit in the US, consists of pop ballads and melodic-EDM. She writes her songs too as she believes that an artiste needs to keep their personal music alive no matter what. Now training in contemporary Hindustani classical, her role model from the Indian music scene is the legendary Asha Bhosle.
