The Cyberabad East Police Commissioner has suspended police constable attached to Jawaharnagar police station S Mallesh (PC 5360) in public interest with instructions that the delinquent should not leave the headquarters without obtaining his permission.
The CP has stated that when police constable P Govardhan and Home Guard Gangadri of Balanagar Police Station were on night patrolling on July 10, two passersby informed them that a person fell down from motorcycle at the Narsapur crossroads, they rushed to the spot and found a person lying on the road with injuries on his lips and right knee. When asked, the injured person disclosed he was S. Mallesh, PC 5360 of Jawharnagar P.S.
When the beat constables tried to shift him to a hospital, Mallesh abused them in filthy language and not cooperated with them to shift him to hospital. When Gangadri requested Mallesh not to abuse them, the latter continued to abuse them and also assaulted the Home Guard inflicting severe injury to his left eye. When the other police staff tried to stop him, Mallesh abused them too and obstructed their duties and created nuisance in the public. However, the accused was taken to the Balanagar Traffic PS where PC 656 Christopher conducted breath analyze test on Mallesh and a case in Cr.No.234/2016 U/s 332,186,510,427 IPC was registered. The delinquent was arrested and produced before the Court for judicial remand. (NSS)
