Newcastle hit Bohemian for six, Everton, Man United win

Newcastle made an impressive start to their preseason campaign under Rafa Benitez with a 6-0 win against Bohemian.

New signing Matt Ritchie opened the scoring before an Aleksandar Mitrovic penalty doubled the Magpies' advantage before half-time.

In the second half another new boy Dwight Gayle increased Newcastle's lead before Florian Thauvin, Rolando Aarons and Georginio Wijnaldum completed the rout.

Ronald Koeman's Everton edged past Czech Republic side FK Jablonec in a training game in Austria thanks to a Brendan Galloway goal.

The Toffees named different sides for each half with Leighton Baines, Aaron Lennon and Kevin Mirallas among those to start, with Maarten Stekelenburg, Tom Cleverley and Gerard Deulofeu featuring in the second half.

Goals from Will Keane and Andreas Pereira got Jose Mourinho off to a winning start as Manchester United manager as the Red Devils ran out 2-0 winners at Wigan.

Goalless at half-time, two goals in 10 second half minutes secured a victory as Eric Bailly and Henrikh Mkhitaryan made their debuts and Luke Shaw returned from injury.
