Police said the girl, hailing from Adugappatti village near Thirumayam in Pudukottai district was studying in 12th standard in a government higher secondary school at nearby Azhagapuri village. She was going to tuition, when a three member gang abducted her in a car. When the car was about to cross the police check post at Nemathanpatti in Sivaganga district, the gang pushed off her from the car and fled in the vehicle.
