rawalpindi - Federal Interior Minister Chaudhary Nisar Ali Khan has taken notice of a trader’s murder on Chakri Road and summoned a report from high-ups of Rawalpindi police.
He directed Rawalpindi police to arrest the killer involved in murder of Muhammad Nisar, the owner of Sunshine Bakery located on Chakri Road, reliable sources disclosed to The Nation yesterday.
Sources said that the federal minister came into action after a large number of traders agitated against police and blocked a road for vehicular movement to press police to arrest the killers.
Muhammad Nisar, a trader, was shot dead by two unknown culprits on July 11 on Chakri Road and a case was registered with Police Station Saddar Bairooni.
Later, the family members have nominated two persons Raja Waheed and Kamran, who is said to be a cop, as killers of Nisar.
Following the orders of Chaudhry Nisar, SHO Malik Muhammad Yar constituted special teams and started conducting raids at different localities to arrest the killer.
Police have arrested Kamran, an alleged killer, and shifted him to police station.
CPO Israr Ahmed Khan Abbasi had also suspended SI Jamshed for his failure to arrest the culprits.
