ISLAMABAD: The leader of the Pakistan People’s Party Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan has said that the PML-N government had pasted the posters having portraits of General Raheel in every nook and corner of the country to malign the Army and dampening its image in the public under a pre-planned conspiracy, but it could not succeed. She was speaking to Daily Times on Thursday. She said that if the government was not involved in the posters saga, then whey action was not being taken against those who were responsible. The former minster said that supporting the PML-N in the current political scenario would be like making a hole in the ship of the PPP. The NAB cannot take action against the corrupt politicians as it was a defected institution. When the inquiry was going on against the people sitting in the NAB, then how could it provide relief to others, she asked. In these circumstances if the PPP went to the NAB, then how it would take action against the prime minister. “The PPP has adopted the policy of “do or die” on the Panama leaks. It is a golden opportunity for the party to emerge victorious in the eyes of the nation by not backing the government according to the hopes and desires of the people”, the PPP leader added.
