As spotted by the folks at PetaPixel and USSRPhoto.com, this lens appeared for sale on ss.ua, Ukraine's version of Craigslist. According to the person selling it, the lens comes from a Yantar 4K2 satellite, first launched and put into service in 1981.

The lens itself comes in at 348.3 pounds, is 4-foot-2-inches long, and has a diameter of 27.5 inches at its widest.

The seller is seeking 460,000 Ukrainian Hryvnia, or just a smidge over $16,500, but he or she is willing to negotiate. Looking through the seller's ss.ua's history, it looks the lens was first up for sale at $20,000 before being relisted it at its current reduced price. We guess when it comes to 35-year-old Soviet spy lenses, it's a buyer's market.
