The Czech Republic have named Karel Jarolim as their new head coach following the resignation of Pavel Vrba.
Jarolim, current manager of Czech First League side Mlada Boleslav, will take charge of the national team which picked up just one point during Euro 2016.
The Czech FA released a statement saying: "Jarolim will start his national team job as of August 1st, he will sign a two-year contract with a two-year option."
Under the terms of his contract, Jarolim will be allowed to continue as coach of Mlada Boleslav until August 25, which is the scheduled date of the Europa League play-offs. Boleslav are currently in the third qualifying round.
His predecessor Vrba has joined Russian side Anzhi Makhachkala, who narrowly avoided relegation from the country's Premier League last season.
The 59-year-old Jarolim, a former Czech international who scored twice in 13 caps in the 1980s, is tasked with qualifying for the 2018 World Cup.
He will have to do it without goalkeeper Petr Cech - the former captain who retired following the conclusion of Euro 2016.
The Czech Republic are in Group C for the qualifiers with World Cup holders Germany, Northern Ireland, Norway, Azerbaijan and San Marino.
