9179 pilgrims pay obeisance, about 1.65 lakh have darshan so far

Srinagar, Jul 15 (UNI) Despite prevailing security situation in the Kashmir Valley, the Amarnath yatra was going on smoothly as a fresh batch of 9179 pilgrims had darshan of the self made Ice-Shivlingam at the cave shrine in south Kashmir Himalayas today.
With this a total of 1,64499 pilgrims had paid obeisance at the cave shrine since the commencement of the 48-day-long annual pilgrimage from July 2.
However, for the past five days, yatris are taking shortest Baltal route as yatra remains suspended from Pahalgam traditional track.
