An arrest has been made in connection with a series of thefts from taxis parked around Waterloo Region.
Waterloo Regional Police say a 33-year-old man is facing a number of charges including theft and mischief, with more charges expected to be laid.
Police had been investigating a total of 17 thefts from taxis, dating back as far as January.
Surveillance images appeared to show the same person perpetrating a number of the thefts.
Local taxi drivers have said that they’re aware of more cases of cabs being broken into, although in some cases nothing may have been taken,
