Jamal Murray loaded up his bow and arrow on Thursday night.

Murray, who led all scorers with 20 points in the Nuggets’ 80-60 win over the Utah Jazz, splashed in a deep 3-pointer and made the bow and arrow motion he became famous for at Kentucky toward former Wildcat teammate and current Phoenix Sun Tyler Ulis. It was his second since joining the Nuggets — his first came against the Miami Heat.

With the win, the Nuggets advanced to the quarterfinals of the NBA Summer League tournament.

Jimmer Fredette added 12 points for Denver. Rakeem Christmas, Shaquielle McKissic and Mike Tobey each scored 10 points for the Jazz.

In the first half, there were seven lead changes and eight ties. The Jazz held onto a 31-27 lead in the middle of the second quarter before Denver pulled ahead early off a deep Murray 3-pointer that ignited a quick five points from the Nuggets.

The Nuggets opened things up in the third quarter, outscoring the Jazz 27-12 to take a 19-point lead heading into the final 12 minutes of play.

On Saturday, Denver will play the Phoenix Suns, who beat the Miami Heat on Thursday, in the quarterfinals of the Summer League tournament.
