A cyclist was taken to hospital following a collision with a red Mustang at Blythwood Road and Weber Street in Waterloo.

Waterloo Regional Police say that a 19-year-old woman received minor injuries when she was struck by the car shortly before 9 a.m. Friday.

She was wearing a helmet at the time of the accident. She was also conscious and breathing when crews arrived on scene.

Police say that the driver stopped at the stop sign, then moved forward and struck the cyclist, who was riding through a crosswalk.

No charges are expected.
