Engineer convicted in disproportionate assets caseHyderabad, Jul 15 (UNI):The Principal Special Judge for SPE and ACB Cases, Hyderabad, has convicted Padma Venkatesham, an Assistant Engineer ( Manager- Engineering) , Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (HMWS & SB) and sentenced him to one year rigorous imprisonment and fined Rs.30,000. In default, he has to suffer three months simple imprisonment for the offence punishable under section 13(1)(e)r/w 13(2) of the prevention of corruption act , an ACB release said here today. Consequently, the accused officer is also directed to deposit the amount of about Rs 30 lakhs towards valuation of disproportionate assets found in his possession within four months from the date of judgement.Please log in to get detailed story.Tags: #Asst.
