Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday sharpened his attack on the Congress, saying it is difficult to follow one's faith under the party and again accused it of hatching a deep conspiracy to snatch people's wealth and distribute it among "select" people. Reffering to the 'redistribution of wealth' remarks made by him at a rally in Rajasthan's Banswara on Sunday, the prime minister said it has angered the Congress and INDI Alliance so much that they have started "abusing" Modi everywhere "I have put forth the truth before the country that Congress is hatching a deep conspiracy to snatch your wealth and distribute it among the 'select' people," he said at a rally in Tonk. "Two-three days ago, I exposed this vote bank politics of Congress as appeasement politics; this has angered Congress and its INDI Alliance so much that they have started abusing Modi everywhere," he said while asking "why the Congress is scared of the truth and hiding its policies".

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal was given insulin in Tihar Jail after his sugar level surged to 320, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) sources said on Tuesday.  The sources told India Today TV that this was the first insulin dosage administered to the jailed Chief Minister, who has high blood sugar levels, after his arrest by the Enforcement Directorate on March 21 in connection to a money laundering case linked to the Delhi liquor policy case. The Delhi Chief Minister is currently under judicial custody at the Tihar Jail till April 23, when the next hearing will take place.

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Tuesday joined the public and other leaders in dancing during a public meeting in Juria, located in the state's Nagaon. In a four-minute-long video, Sarma hums, claps, and dances during the campaign trail. The state of Assam is voting in three phases in the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections 2024. Elections for the 14 Lok Sabha constituencies in Assam are taking place on April 19, April 26, and May 7, as announced by the Election Commission of India.

A day after BJP won the Surat Lok Sabha seat unopposed, Congress leader Nilesh Kumbhani, whose nomination as Lok Sabha candidate was rejected over alleged discrepancies, is likely to join the BJP, sources told India Today TV on Tuesday. Amid reports claiming that Kumbhani may join the BJP, Congress workers protested outside his locked house with posters that read, "janata ka gaddar (people's traitor)". The dramatic events follow the BJP's first Lok Sabha win in Surat, unopposed. Gujarat BJP chief CR Paatil yesterday said Surat has presented "the first lotus" to Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
