Police have issued an e-fit of a man they want to trace in connection with an attempted child abduction in Slough.

An 11-year-old boy was approached by a black 4x4 vehicle as he walked along Haswell Crescent, Cippenham, at about 13:30 BST on 15 June.

The driver - a bald man with a distinctive flame tattoo on his head - told the boy he had to take him to his mother and to get in the car.

The boy refused and the car was driven away at speed, police said.

Investigating officer Det Con Rachel Kluger, of Thames Valley Police, said: "Although there was no physical contact between the boy and the offender, this was a frightening incident for the victim and I would like to commend him for his bravery in coming forward."

The driver is described as white, aged in his early 20s, with light facial hair, a large build, and was wearing a black leather jacket.

Police said the tattoo starts at the back of the man's head and wraps around his right ear.

The vehicle he was driving had silver roof bars, the force added.
