accreditation

Controversial artist Ayanda Mabulu's painting of President Jacob Zuma and Atul Gupta in a sexual act has startled and left exhibition goers speechless.

People trickled in to view the untitled painting hanging at the Constitution Hill in Joburg.

"I'm surprised, very surprised ... wow," said Joy Walker as she saw the artwork.

Mabulu said people would be reacting differently if the president was a white man.

"I would have been a hero. I would have been buried in a gold plated grave, in a gold casket," he said.

The exhibition will run until July 24.
