Kannur: Whistle blower and social activist Thottathil Vinodan, a bank employee working with the State Bank of Travancore in Pazhayangadi in Kannur, was found dead near a culvert in Madayi on Thursday morning.
He had fought the encroachment of the Kerala Water Authority land in Eripuram near Madayi a few years ago. Though he had not come back home for the last two days, the family did not take this seriously, as he had said that he was going to Mangaluru to meet a dental doctor for treatment.

However, now that his body has been found in a mysterious manner, the family has demanded probe into the case. Pazhayangadi police have registered a case and investigation is on. However, the possibility of natural death could not be ruled out, said the police.
