On the reunion of Claire and Jamie in “Outlander” Season 3, Davis said that the writers are still figuring it out. However, she teased that she would personally “hate” to see the two characters reunite “immediately.” She pointed out that 20 years is a long time for the two characters to be separated and also that they both felt they would never see each other again.

Davis said that the writers plan to stay consistent with the book series by Diana Gabaldon. The producers will now adapt the third book titled “Voyager” for the TV series and Davis felt that the book will be much “easy” to adapt because of the way it has been written.

“Outlander” Season 3 will have its own unique challenges with the main characters travelling to Jamica and a lot of the story happening on ships. Yet, Davis said that she is “excited” to start the cameras rolling later this year. There is no specific release date yet, but she confirmed that it will again be 13 episodes. For the time being the only way to deal with Droughtlander, according to Davis, is watch the first two seasons again.
